3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Nose caramel and earth mostly, touch spice, touch alcohol, otherwise C-hops and mild resin. Poured cloudy dark orange with a short tan head. Taste strongly bitter, attenuated and pretty dry, picking up more orange peel and a little dank wood character, faint dough, and the leafy hops also impart a bit of orange marmalade. Alcohol not as pronounced as Iíd feared but itís still hefty without burn. Toast, caramel, earth, light spice, lightly floral, strong and growing pine. More dough and a little crystal in the finish. Body very full, medium-crisp, avoids sugary meltdown. Clean but the hops are a little raw, and overall doesnít jump of the page. [2015.11.06: 3.3]

On tap @GarricksHeadPub. Hazy delight. Impressive balance. A well-assembled brew with some interesting complexity. Finishes long, strong and bitter.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
650ml brown bottle. Golden with haze, creamy white cap with great sticky lacing. Aroma has caramel and orange zest. Taste has heavy caramel malts, toasted malt, orange peel. Citrus and caramel malt aftertaste and light hops, bitterness is a bit restrained. Overall, a decent beer, pleasant but could be a bit more aggressive.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A decent double IPA. Pours a dark, malty looking toffee red with a heavy, dense off white head. Nice citrus and spicy hop notes up front with pine and grapefruit, caramel. Well balanced but very malty for my liking. Alcohol is laden on the finish

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours Amber with a huge foamy head. Slightly over carbonated. The aroma is very nice, notes of Belgian spice and grass. The flavor is peppery above a nice malt base. The hops come through early and often. Lingering after taste.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bomber from Capital Market. Hazy amber in color. Nose is sweet and hoppy. Some sugary sweet notes and sweet hops. Citric hops up front, moving into a bit of a sweet malty flavor. Good hoppiness throughout. Well balanced with a sweet malty thing going on.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle poured a clear orange amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of bread, fruitiness, earthiness, yeast and light pine. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, earthiness, light pine and light citrus with a smooth dry moderately bitter finish.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a sparkling amber with nice lacy head. Aroma is quite piney, with malty sweetness also present. Not so much hop flavor present, mostly comes in as bitterness quickly on the finish. Initially dominated more by caramelly, rye bread malts. Overall hop flavor is quite piney and earthy.
A good solid IPA, but maybe lacking the little extra you want from an IIPA.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours hazy brown with a thin white head. Aroma seems typical to regular IPAs: hops, grass and earthy flavours. Not very strong here though. Taste is quite bitter which is expected but lacking in hops. Mouthfeel is soft, carbonation is not too heavy, a bit on the watery side. Decent beer but nothing spectacular. I find it lacking especially for an IIPA.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
This "imperial IPA" has a very strong hop aroma and flavor, however it isnít as bitter as the Gale Force IPA. There is a strong malt backbone to offer a level of balance but with over two and a half pounds of hops per barrel it resonates hops from start to finish. With so much flavor happening you miss the 8.6% alcohol by volume so be careful when serving or drinking. Hops were added at every stage of the process...it was dry-hopped with chinooks for two weeks. 75 IBUís. Hops: chinook, centennial, columbus, cascade, bullion.
