On tap at Bottleworks, pours hazy golden with a medium white head. Aroma of piney hops, grapefruit and citrus. Flavour of intense grapefruit, pine hops, and citrus. Excellent mixture of potent flavours, without any harshness. Wonderful IIPA.

355ml bottle pours golden in color with a finger of white head that left some spotted lacing on the glass. A pleasing hoppy aroma with some hints of cereal grains. Taste is pleasant hoppy bitterness balanced with a healthy dose of malty sweetness. Medium bodied with modest carbonation this is one solid DIPA which I thoroughly enjoyed while on vacation in Washington state.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 nuplastikk (3353) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 18, 2012
12oz bottle. Hazy unfiltered orange-tan body with a frothy, glass lacing head. Decent IIPA, earns some points for being 8.99 a six pack certainly. Leaning towards the toasty side of the IIPA equation, with some dry, biter, grapefruit hops. Bullion hops? First I’d heard of them..now fascinated. Middle of the road in a lot of respects, but still well executed and pleasant.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Aubrey (3347) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - SEP 21, 2011
Bold and bitter. Loaded with notes of grapefruit juice, orange rind, resin, perfume and wildflowers. Malts are toasty, with only a mild, toffee-like sweetness. Pungent, grassy and stem-like bitterness. If you can handle its rough edges, it’s an OK double IPA.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 BillKismet (3024) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 13, 2011
Amber bodied with foamy beige head. Profusiion of mid- to heavy hop aroma. Humid, co-humulone is felt, but yet subdued. Woodsy and sharply floral. Overflowing with resin. Nice, sweet, floral hop resin. Full-bodied with well rounded bitterness. A swarthy brew. A glass full of summer’s bloom.
4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 harlequinn (2744) - Tacoma, Washington, USA - APR 5, 2006
Draft @ Elliott Bay - Pours a translucent but very deep golden orange, with a moderate rocky head. Floral hoppiness, fresh flowers, rosewater, some light alcohol burn. Truly smells like fresh hops dispersed in the glass. Mouthfeel is resiny oils, backed up with sweet caramel toffee maltiness. One of those beers that saves the day
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 curly (2395) - Kirkland, Washington, USA - OCT 21, 2011
Pours hazy light gold with a large creamy white head. Aroma of pine, grapefruit, pungent herb, some lemon. Taste has a nice amount of sharp lemony bitterness with some herbal tea leaf qualities. Long bitter finish, more than the Gale Force that I just had. Nice sweet bready malt balance. Good stuff. Better than expected after being let down by the Gale Force.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 madvike (2128) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 8, 2012
Bottle with no date, and I’m guessing it’s past its prime based on the taste. Pours lightly hazy amber (I stopped before pouring all the yeast in) with a decent-sized off-white head. Nose is buttery caramel and toffee with a hint of pine and herbal hopping. MIght have guessed this was a barley wine if I was tasting this blind. Taste is about the same, but with more pine sap and an unpleasant sharp, boozy, grassy hoppiness. Thick and slick in the mouth, resinous. I’m guessing this is a lot better fresh, based on the other reviews.
