3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: Nice bronze copper color with a retentive well respecting head. Big resinous citrus hops and a mild malty base. Nothing pops out and takes the stage though. Nice hoppy flavor, ample malts and some caramel. A little on the light side. Did they really just warn me when drinking? They obviously don’t know their customers, from top to bottom.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle poured a clear orange amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of bread, fruitiness, earthiness, yeast and light pine. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, earthiness, light pine and light citrus with a smooth dry moderately bitter finish.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a sparkling amber with nice lacy head. Aroma is quite piney, with malty sweetness also present. Not so much hop flavor present, mostly comes in as bitterness quickly on the finish. Initially dominated more by caramelly, rye bread malts. Overall hop flavor is quite piney and earthy.
A good solid IPA, but maybe lacking the little extra you want from an IIPA.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours hazy brown with a thin white head. Aroma seems typical to regular IPAs: hops, grass and earthy flavours. Not very strong here though. Taste is quite bitter which is expected but lacking in hops. Mouthfeel is soft, carbonation is not too heavy, a bit on the watery side. Decent beer but nothing spectacular. I find it lacking especially for an IIPA.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
This "imperial IPA" has a very strong hop aroma and flavor, however it isn’t as bitter as the Gale Force IPA. There is a strong malt backbone to offer a level of balance but with over two and a half pounds of hops per barrel it resonates hops from start to finish. With so much flavor happening you miss the 8.6% alcohol by volume so be careful when serving or drinking. Hops were added at every stage of the process...it was dry-hopped with chinooks for two weeks. 75 IBU’s. Hops: chinook, centennial, columbus, cascade, bullion.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from the tap. Slightly hazy medium orangey golden yellow with white head. Grapefruit hops, a sweet bready malt with a subtle bubblegum-ness, quite dry resinous finish. Almost a dry sticky palate. Flavours don’t quite meld in my opinion.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from bottle into a snifter
Appearance – The beer pours a hazy golden orange color with a one finger head of pure white foam. The thick head has a good level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave rings of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is heaviest of tropical fruits of tangerine and mango with some nice grapefruit hop aromas mixed within. Along with these smells comes some other aromas of caramel and brown sugar as well as some hop of a more floral nature.
Taste – The taste begins with a sweeter and malty flavor with a decent level of caramel mixed with some tropical fruits of tangerine and mango as depicted in the nose. The hops upfront are lighter, with the strongest being more of an earthy nature. As the taste advances however, more hop joins the malty base, with the earth gaining just a hint of intensity all while a grapefruit and grassy hop taste grow quite a bit stronger. In the end, with the increase in hop mixing with the nice sweet and malty base, one is left with a thick and smooth, well balanced hop flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel- The body of the beer is on the slightly thicker and creamier side with a carbonation level that is on the lower side. For the mix of hops and sweeter malts the flavors are nicely accentuated by the feel and it makes for a nice drinker overall.
Overall – Not overly hoppy but very well balanced and a quite easy drinking IPA for a double. A nice one to try if you get the chance.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 oz bottle from Lifesource in Salem OR
Pours a burnt orange colour it is ever so slightly hazy and with a lovely big frothy white head.
Good fresh floral and resiny hop aromas balanced by a huge amount of caramel scented malts.
Taste supremely balanced with the hops barely emerging victorious, very PNW style IPA here.
Mouth feel is OK gets a wee bit sticky and maybe a tad too much raw alcohol showing in the end.
Good strong winter drink!

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Total Wines. Deep amber in colour, with a decent, off-white, head. Massive, rasping hops, with lemon fruits and an oily edge, before a dry finish. Ok.
