Bottle into English honeycomb beer stein. Looks as you would expect. Strong chocolate aroma. Robust coffee chocolate notes. Nice mouthfeel. Mild bitterness. Good beer but a bit expensive on the east coast compared to more local Options of comparable quality but 1/2 the price.

2.5 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Scuttlebutt Porter is pretty average but still enjoyable. Not much aroma probably because of a scant head. NIce and dark like a porter should be. Taste is a nice balance between chocolate and coffee flavors as expected, but not much more. Clean finish and a little fizzy on the back end. There is just nothing special about Scuttlebutt Porter, but it is an ok beer to drink at home just the same.
