Our creamy porter is ideal for the dark beer connoisseur. It has a lightly roasted flavor with hints of chocolate and peat. A smooth finish and superb balance make it enjoyable going down. The secret to this beer is the extra aging. Even those just getting started with darker beers enjoy this one

Bottle. The pour was a very dark brown, almost black with an average sized (1-2 finger) light brown creamy head that was mostly lasting, but retreated finally to a thin foamy layer of residue producing some excellent sheets of lacing. The aroma was of a dark roasted malt and an earthy leathery yeast with notes of milk chocolate, coffee, some dark fruit and a hint of ash. The taste was mildly sweet and malty with notes of dark fruit and chocolate from the onset but got progressively mildly bitter with a good note of coffee and a touch of smoke at the end. The flavor lasted an average duration with the smoky coffee flavor left to linger on the taste buds. Mouthfeel was a solid medium in body and a bit watery yet still quite creamy in texture with a nice soft carbonation. Overall a good and solid Porter with a light fruitiness and a nice mild smoke presence at the end.

12oz bottle, from Brennanís in Madison. Picked up during my stay for GTMW. Clear very dark brown, slight red color. Thin ring of khaki head. Few dots of lace. Medium body. Decent chewiness to it, good full mouthfeel. Smooth, kind of crisp lighter carbonation. Light slick finish. Good coffee, dark chocolate flavor. Light roast, hints of dark fruit. Moderate bitter taste, light to moderate sweet. Nice longer dark chocolate and coffee aftertaste to savor, pretty impressive flavor and body for the low ABV. Great porter to enjoy with my sandwich, turned out to be very swiggable. Finished it well before I finished my sandwich.

Black pour with a minimal thin rocky foamy light beige head. The nose has some succulent and sweet dark chococlate candy notes with a touch of roast and a kiss of vanilla. Great medium-full flavor with sweet chocolate notes and a subtle roastiness, finishing with a little earthy vanilla. A bit dry and lightly roasty bitter on the finish.

(A 6 pack thanks to Ken) A nose of chocolate and roasted malts with just the slightest impression of sourness. Pours a dark brown like my Dadís wingtips, with a thin rapidly dissipating tan head and moderate ringed lacing. The tongue is greeted by milk chocolate, roasted malts and bread culminating in a balanced bitter finish. Medium body and medium carbonation. Mostly a round smooth mouthfeel. Overall, this was a very tasty and rewarding porter.

Bottle at Christine and Daves, Thanksgiving warm down cheers to Dave, 28/11/13. Light black with a moderate tan covering that clears to a pond. Nose is roast malt, earthy cocoa, brown sugars, dark toffee. Taste carries a good roasted blast, chocolate, liqourice, dark toffee. Medium bodied, slightly prickly and over carbonated, dry finale. Solid all round porter let down a little on the palate.

Pours tar black, not much aroma, palate has a nice hop/malt balance, finishes carbonated fresh, lacks a little depth of flavor in the middle palate.
