Nitro tap at the brewpub. Pours amber with a creamy near white head. Light hop aroma. Med body. Flavor is mildly pine over a mildly roasted malt. Think the nitro is adding/exposing a slight tanginess. At 42 IBU should it be hoppier? Is the nitro smoothing down the flavor? Still it drinks well and had a nice lingering bitterness. Washed food down well.

Clear dark amber color/ beige head. Nice pine sap, tea leaf, toasted caramel aromas. medium bodied. Good pine sap, black tea flavors with rich toasted caramel, grainy pale malts.

Got this on the nitro tap at the brewery. Not a super flavorful beer but still pleaant. The foam was fine and thick - characteristic of a nitro tap.

Nose is floral, lightly citrusy and some sweet caramel. Pours nice reddish amber with a creamy head on top. Sweet caramel malts and medium bitter floral, perfumey, and citrus hop flavors. Nice floral finish. Creamy body and mouthfeel. The nitro makes this one for sure.

A clear amber in my glass at the brew pub. Not much aroma but the flavor is on. Only a bit of hop balance. Essay drinking and not bad. Good with the wings.

UPDATED: APR 2, 2009 On nitro at Wallingford Pizza House. Pours clear reddish copper with a decent beige head. Smell and taste are fairly subdued. Mostly roasty biscuit/cookie malts with a slight hop kick and a little caramel sweetness. Faintly hoppy finish.

Brewpub tap; advertised as a crisp grapefruit flavor but I didn’t taste much of the grapefruit but did pickup on the bitterness normally associated with the grapefruit; decent safe beer; also had a Nitro Sequoia Red which made the head really pop and cut down on the bitterness a bit; a bit more enjoyable; I rate the nitro as 3.4. (#33)

On nitro charge at the brewpub in Everett, Washington. Pours a clear copper amber brew with a creamy and soft off-white head that slowly dissolves to a thin and creamy off-white head with excellent lacing from the nitro pour. Aroma of caramel malt, light apples, brown sugar and roasted nuts. Taste is medium bodied, malty caramel and toffee flavors with a touch of citrus zest. Finish is smooth and creamy with a malty aftertaste and then a mild bitterness.
