Bottle. Medium golden body with an average white head. Sweet pale malts, spicy estery yeast. Nothing really wrong here, maybe a bit simple, but tripels are just not my favourite style.

(Bottle) Decent, but pretty simple-tasting. Iíd be interested in comparing it to New Belgiumís tripel. For a tripel, itís not great, but for a cheap tripel, itís not bad at all.

UPDATED: MAR 31, 2015 Bought a 6 pack on a whim, was doubtful that an $8 six pack would be a satisfactory Belgian. I was pleasantly surprised. While not as complex as a top quality Belgian, it was very good. very good yeast flavor and aroma. For a bargain Belgium, I?d recommend it.

Pours a light gold color. Thin, white head. Belgian aroma of cloves and cinnamon is present. Thereís also hints of bubblegum. This sweet bubblegum aroma leads into a sweeter taste than I expected. The Belgian spiciness is there, but itís subdued and somewhat underneath a smoother, sweeter (more honey than caramel), beer. Body is just a bit on the thin side. Good but not exactly a traditional Belgian. And if this is really 9% itís hiding its booze very well.

Pours cloudy orange with a medium white head. The aroma has cream, mild caramel, milk and abbey ale yeast. It has a medium / full body with quite a bit of soft carbonation. The flavor starts off with caramel, smooth malt, milk, Belgian yest and a good amount of sweetness. The finish adds a bit of spice, but is still very slick and smooth.

Pours a hazy golden color with white head. Light fruits, yeast, raw wheat, and some close on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a little sweetness.

Hazy golden with a slight orange hue, under a thin foamy white head. Nose is earthy estery with some light tree fruit and brewery cleaner. But the flavor pops with a ever-so-slight acidity that turns to doughy pilsner grains, tangerine, pear, and sweet apple with a little malty boozy ester toward the finish. Doesnít taste too hot, so itís a bit delightfully dangerous.

I havenít had a traditional Belgian Ale so I have nothing to compare this Belgian Style Ale against. The Tripel 7 Poured a deep golden color that reminded me of apple juice with a thin off-white head. The aroma came off a little fruity with a hint of wet grass. It had a medium body with a soft mouth feel that kind of popped with the carbonation and the back of my throat. Not at all unpleasant. The taste of this ale was mildly herbal with a hint of pear and bitter hops. The aftertaste was a bit astringent which showed up more and more as this beer warmed up towards room temperature. This aftertaste becomes a little overpowering towards the end of the glass. This is a great beer as long as it remains at a nice chilled temperature.
