12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured a nice clear bubbly amber with a nice white head and some lacing. The aroma is very nice, strong apricots essence combined with some malt hints. Taste on the other hand is actually kind of watery; grain flavors combined with some apricots and some yeast. Refreshing and worth trying but definitely not great.

Transfer from BA review on 4-10-14- Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden amber color with a one finger head of fizzy white foam and tons of carbonation bubbles seen streaming up through the brew. The head fades quite fast leaving only a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – A strong peach and apricot aroma is the bulk of the smell. These are combined with a bit of a wheaty and grassy smell producing a nice sweet, fruity aroma overall. Taste – The taste begins with a wheat bread and apricot flavor right from the start. These flavors create a base for the brew with the wheat remaining relative constant and the apricot gaining strength as the flavor advances. Along with the slight increase in the apricot, comes some flavors of a peach nature, accentuating the fruity nature of the brew as the taste advances. A very light grassy flavor joins the taste at the end of the flavor profile, leaving one with a medium sweet, but rather crisp, fruity apricot and peach flavor, to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the thinner side with a carbonation level that is on the slightly higher side. Both are fantastic for the fruity flavors of the brew and make for a very refreshing and more crisp brew overall. Overall – A not overly sweet and quite drinkable apricot ale. Rather refreshing and easy drinking.

"Like a fruit perfume on the nose. Too light bodied and flavored to be taken too seriously, but not quite as bad as the 3rd percentile would imply. Pleasant apricot flavor, but NOTHING else. Weak, if non-offensive."

12 ounce bottle from the Belmont bargain bin. Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. A big sweet grains and apricot nose. Wheat, sweet apricot, sugary at times, a bit of dusty wheat and yeast. OK. Drinkable.

Bottle. A- Apricots, fruity, sugar, sweet. A- Golden orange color, clear liquid, no head. T- Apricots, medium sweetness, P- Light body, average texture, high carbonation, sweet finsh. O- Almost good. The apricot was artificial and too sugary tasting, as well as being slightly cloying. The carbonation was so high it felt like drinking a apricot soda or something. As with other Sea Dog brews I have had, they are close to being good but just not quite there. No exception with this one.

Reviewed from notes. Consumed on tap at Federal Jack’s. This was poured into a pint glass. There was a quarter finger white foamy head that dissipated within second (bar pour) no worries. There was barely any lacing. The smell did have the apricot to it. The taste took the apricot and added a slight heavy grainy kick to it (yup, that must be the wheat). On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a slight sessionable quality to it letting go half decent with food. Overall, not a bad beer, but not a stellar one. It goes down the hatch best with food.

Smells strongly of apricot. Taste is smooth fruity apricot, wheat. Decent. Not bitter at all. Lives up to name but could use a touch more crisp carbonation and hops.

Wow not what I expected. Tasted like real apricot, not artificial or overpowering or underwhelming. I dont drink fruity beers but this was well worth the try. Great wheat beer with a apricot aroma and taste although not sweet. A soft refreshing beer. Rated unjustly by the beer snobs on here

Location: Sampled at Living Social Beerfest, 12/6/13

Aroma: The nose is apricot/fruity and wheat mostly, as you’d expect
Appearance: It pours a a hazed yellow color with an off-white head on it
Flavor: The flavor is similar, fruity, sweet, and a little wheat
Palate: The body is light-medium, with a fairly clean, refreshing finish on the mouth
Overall Impression: This certainly isn’t a great beer, but for what it is trying to be it works decently. As far as this style goes, you could certainly do a lot worse.
