It’s a beautiful beer. Smell is okay. Super creamy head and mouthfeel. The taste is a total let down which is a bit depressing. It’s a great stout in every way but the taste.

Pitch coal black with thin chocolate cover. Sweet oreo and coffee nose with puffs of coal. The body is decidedly sweet, roasty and caramel--with the re-emergence of oreo cookie influence, and perhaps the shaping of diacetyl butterscotch notes. More like an olde English brown stout that what I reckon makes for the traditional Irish-style dry stout.

Poured dard brown with a light brown head that left some lacing. Aroma of dried fruits and toasted malts. I like everything but the metallic(?) finish.

An almost black beer with a thick brown head and nice lacing. The aroma is cocoa, a little coffee and a little fruity. The flavor is dark chocolate and floral hops, a nice combination with a dry finish. Good and drinkable.

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with a small tan head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is roasted malt and chocolate. Thin mouthfeel with roast and coffee with a syrupy finish. Easy to drink, a good dry stout from Shipyard.

thank goodness for meticulous notetaking, i hardly remember this .. . pours a deep brown .. light foam, sturdy lacing .. . dark malt, crunchy chocolate, dark decaf espresso .. . slick stuff .. . As I bit into the nectarine, it had a crisp juiciness about it that was very pleasurable - until I realized it wasn’t a nectarine at all, but A HUMAN HEAD!

pours brown, almost black. All roasty malts on the nose: cocoa, toasty. Maybe slight floral hops? Yeastie Beasties very appearant in the glass, not a fan of that! Taste is good, and of roasted malts and roasted cocoa, just as the scent indicated. It’s such a shame, the yeast floaters. This really has potential. .

A unique, light bodied stout with medium strength flavor. Aroma is roasted coffee and dark chocolate. Flavor is similar with a dry, short finish. A refreshingly drinkable stout.
