355mL thanks to Dedicatedtofun! Clear deep orange. Wispy white lacing. Nose is hotel bar soap, intense chemical lavender. Taste is hotel bar soap, intense chemical. Super soapy. Ew. Palate is lemon tea.

Pours a slightly hazy copper color. Aroma is bright and slightly hoppy with a hint of sweet malt. Flavor is fairly well balanced between floral hoppy and amber malt. Pretty okay but nothing special.

A pretty disappointing IPA. Some pine and grass with a lot of cardboard in the aftertaste.

12 oz single labeled as KBC IPA from Trader Joes in Salem OR. $1 per bottle and says 6.2% alc. Nice enough pour, darker, burnt orange body, slightly hazy, nice thick cream coloured head. Aroma of spicy, lemony hops, floral sweet. Some caramel malts..not too bad. Taste is a bit of a let down though..fruity,orange and sweetened figs..very little bitterness from the hops but they are there. Not horrible though. Mouth feel is very thin even for style..slight bitterness in the end. This is drinkable enough but a bad IPA.

Labeled as KBC IPA from Trader Joe’s. Clear orange pour with thin white head. Aroma is malt mash. Taste is medicinal, metallic, grain, floral. Close to a drain pour here. By my standards, saying something.

Bottle. Light amber color with beige spongy head, floral hops aroma, light hoppy taste mixed with doughy flavor, lightly carbonated, long finish. The hops aroma is a bit weaker than expected for an IPA.

tmoreau (2784) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - NOV 3, 2013
12 oz. bottle from Trader Joe’s in Glen Ellyn, IL. as alias KBC/Kennebunkport IPA. Poured to a Czech-pils glass with a lightly hazed, orangy gold color, with a frothy/cakey off white/cream colored head, and patches & spots of clingy lacing. The aroma was a decent, but not that expressive IPA nose of light grainy dankness, a touch of caramel sweetness, a bit of breadiness, and resin & citrus notes. The taste included some malty creaminess, moderate, earthy & rindy astringency to the lingering hop bitterness, and a hint of soapiness, in a no more than medium body, with fair carbonation. A fairly tasty, average IPA offering.
