Labeled as Kennebunkport IPA. Pours a medium amber with a small frothy off-white head. Smells of citrusy hops, pepper, and dust. Tastes of candy, light citrus, and finishes with pepper. A decent, drinkable IPA, but by no means a standout.

Deep amber pour. Small off white head. Plenty of lacing. Piney hop aroma. Some caramel notes and a slightly off putting sweet aroma. Taste is slight corn and very bitter. Chalky.

In a world where there are stellar examples of IPA too numerous to count, a beer like this has no reason to exist. It is an off and metallic rendition of the style and lacking the vibrant hop character that is the hallmark of the style. It is clear red in color and its head is of mixed bubbles and long lasting. This has a mildly floral hop character and a good bit of metallic, basic bitterness. This is rather light bodied but still a bit sweet, which cloys just a touch. This is on the low end of drinkable, I suppose, but I do not think that is adequate at all.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber color. Has a hoppy brown malty taste. Grassy and easy smooth drinking with a nice aftertaste

sawbuck (325) - Round Lake, Illinois, USA - JUL 28, 2014
Under KBC label. Aroma of pine and citrus. Hazy orange in appearance..tan head fades quickly. Sweet malt up front...nice backbone. Follows with a citrus laced bitterness. Average in bite. Finishes with a nice balance of sweet and bitter....bitterness lingers a bit on the tongue. Not complex, but very solid for the price.

Bottle. Taste is light citrus, hay, hops, malt and grain. Decent IPA, but nothing unexpected here.

Had this on tap. Color was amber / brown. Slight head and malt aroma. Taste was banana like and can’t decide if this was intentional or the taps needed cleaning. Overall disappointing.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a dark copper color with a medium white head. A light fruity nose with caramel. The flavor is mild fruity hops, super sweet grainy earthy malts. Odd. Lemons. Tea. Cost a buck.
