The color was amber and not dark enough for a brown with no head. The aroma was sweet and slightly toasted with brown sugar. The taste was simple and like the aroma with a tiny bit of hops. The palate is average. Overall drinkable but not a true brown.

3 oz. draft sample. Brown amber colour with ample long lasting head, good lacing. Smells and tastes like a brown ale. Sorry that’s not more descriptive, this was just really brownish, if that makes sense. Light to medium body, low carbonation. Overall, sessionable.

My parents got me a growler of this from when they went to Portland, so thank you. Pours a clear brownish amber color. Aroma is full of chocolate malts, with some nuttiness, roastyness, and slight pecan. Flavor is very sessionable, and includes malts, nuttiness, lactic, barley, and wood chips. Leaves a light malt finish. Very England/New England-esque brown ale.

A standard Brown Ale, but the sample glasses are so large, there is no reason to complain.

On tap at brewpub. One of the selections in a sampler. This one was pretty good. I think this is the one I ordered a pint of after the sampler.
