| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 3, 2008 Considering how much I hated the IPA, I was pleasently surprised by this one. Very nice aroma of hazelnuts and coffee and a touch of chocolate. The flavor doesn’t quite live up to the promise of the aroma, but it’s still pretty good. All in all, a pretty nice porter here. gunhaver (1025), Tampa, Florida, USA

Hardly any lacing on the glass. Aroma is pure roasted hazelnut coffee. It’s a one tricky pony but pretty good. Flavor is pretty much the same. Hazelnut, roasted malts...very cut and dry, but effective. Thin-bodied but smooth and drinkable. If you’re in the mood to drink a hazelnut beer then by all means, chug this bad boy because it’s right up your alley. Looking for the mecca of craft beer creation? Look elsewhere.
