Oct 6, 2003 The aroma is sweet, slightly smoked and slightly malty. The color is dark red and it has a fine but fast disappearing head. The flavor is sweet malty with slight roasted notes. An OK beer - but not stouty enough - maybe because of the rather low ABV.

Mar 15, 2005 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Very dark, close to black. Low, brownish head. Very full and pleasant hazelnut flavour, very delicious - although the flavour is added albeit natural. Beer with added flavours is not a route we want to follow. Unfortunately this is very delicate.

Dec 6, 2008 12 fl oz bottle, courtesy of joergen. Pours dark brown to black with an almost fully gone head. Solid butterish and nutty aroma with a mild roasted note. Sweet malty and slight butterish flavoured with a light vanilla note. Clearly towards nougart. Light bitterness into the finish.

Clear medium to dark brown color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, coffee dusty, nutty - hazelnuts, vanilla notes. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [260908]

Aug 30, 2006 Bottled. Dark ruby red colour, small white head. Aroma of smoke and roasted malts. Flavour is very weird, sweetish plummy, candy sugary, nutty and caramellish. Only weak roastiness noteable. Watery brew.

Clear brown coloured with a small off white head.
Sweet and light roasted aroma of hazelnuts and nougat.
Light roasted flavour of hazelnuts and nougat with notes of chocolate and hops.
Hoppy finish.
The hazelnuts are much too dominating.
