COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A refreshing, straw-colored ale. The intense aromatics of Cascade hops are balanced by the richness of traditional two-row British malted barley. The fruity palate and crisp finish of this top-fermented ale bespeak of its British origins.

On tap at Sea Dog’s Woburn pub yesterday. Light gold color. Fairly standard malty aroma, some hay, with a hint of hopping. Medium sweetness, but the bitter element is more metallic, probably from a long duration in a keg. Light bodied but sharp.

The aroma is diacetyl, butter, caramel. The appearance is a pale gold oranhge, thimn white head. The flavor is just like the aroma. A diacetyl mess. Medium in body. Butter, sweet caramel, pine hops on finish. Not good.

Pours clear yellow with little head. Medium carbonation. Aroma shows lemongrass, caramel and grapefruit. Starts fruity and ends in a quick bitter fade. Quenching.

Drink #2 from the Light - Dark sample flight. Getting better. Had a remote controlled trivia game thing which was hooked up to the TV’s in the bar so I could compete with the other patrons anonymously.

12oz Mystic Seaport Pale Ale. Slight haze and golden colored, quick head. Faint aroma. Well balanced, hops character is in two distinct stages, flavor then bitterness, with a pause in between. Slight fruit in the finish, maybe cascade hops? Definitely drinkable, won’t go out of my way but if it’s on tap or offered to me I will definitely say yes. Yay beer!
