Inspired by Van Morrison and a full moon over a high tide on our river. This is a clean, refreshing approach to organic beers. Briess organic two-row brewers malt and European hop flavour create Nova Scotia's first organic lager..."it's a fantabulous night for a moondance."

500ml bottle. Straw gold colour with a big white head. Aroma is biscuit and some pilsy hops. Biscuity, toasted grain and herbal hops taste. Full body for a lager. Overall, a really enjoyable lager.

Pale golden pour. The aroma is of pale malt and a touch of light hoppiness. A bit of earthiness and some light sweetness as well. Fairly bready and sweet with a great balance. Well-made helles.

Draught at the Port Pub. Pours a clear yellow gold with small white head. Sweet grainy aroma. Taste is similarly sweet and grainy with some slight hoppiness providing a bit of bitterness. Not my favourite Sea Level beer but still decent.

On tap at the Port Pub, Port Williams. Clear golden colour with a thin white head. Leaves a thin lace down the glass. Initially a strong malt aroma but fades. Clean crisp bitter flavour. Good lager beer. Smooth finish towards the end.

On tap at the Port Pub, sampled 10/4/08. Bright pale yellow colour with a mostly diminishing creamy white head. Grainy, light floral aroma with herbal notes. Grainy malt with a faint grassy and herbal finish. Light bodied, crisp but creamy mouthfeel. Maybe not the greatest lager but head and shoulders above standard brewpub blonds.

[1831-20081101] Tap. Not much aroma, some grains. Clear, pale yellow orange body with a small long-lasting creamy white head and thick lattice lacing. Creamy hay and bready grains flavour. Light-medium body is a little watery. Quite nice, refreshing and drinkable.

2008-11-01. Mild aroma of muted malt and hops. Crisp yellow body with a small white head. (3+) Flavour is pleasant, sweet pale malt base and pleasant hoppy bitterness, lightly floral hops. (6+) Smooth average plus palate is excellent for the style. (3+) Quite quaffable, just enough flavour to be interesting. On tap at Port Pub.
