3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Delirium (636) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JAN 17, 2011
From memory, but I’ve had it a bunch of times. Pours black, with a moderate tan head. Nice typical oatmeal-stout smooth mouthfeel. Fairly robust flavor initially, but gets a little thin towards the finish. A good session stout.

Growler thanks to Sandstone on BA. Thanks, Roger! Great appearance with a lasting well-formed tan head and good lacing. Nice aroma - big ashy tobacco and roast. Almost like a cigar city beer. The flavor is roast, coffee, dark chocolate, tobacco, and smokiness. Slight malty sweetness. Medium-full bodied with a smooth mouthfeel and average carbonation. Pretty solid beer overall. Beat expectations.

Excellent beginning, roast, malt, complex, and then it turns into mineral water. Not much complexity, and the taste thins out. No head, great mouthfeel.

Poured from tap at Marin Brew Breast Fest an inky black with large mocha head. Aroma is sweet roasted grain. Flavor is chocolate, caramel, coffee - all mildly sweetened - and finishes with a grain roast. The palate is not a big mouthfeel but is good and somewhat creamy. Light drinking for a stout. I really liked this one. I definitely want to try it again.

On tap at the brewpub. 6 oz. sampler. Opaque brown with a light tan head of about a half finger’s height. The foam leaves no lacing on it’s way to becoming a thin halo. Smell is of bittersweet chocolate. Smooth oaty texture, black coffee and baker’s chocolate in the flavor. Roasty finish.

Draught at the brewpub. Black with brown edges and a small tan head. Sweet coffee aroma with a tinge of hops. Sweet and roasty flavor with no roast harshness. Lots of silky chocolate. Oatmeal smoothness in the mouth is really nice. A solid sweet and smooth stout, and the modest strength makes it go down quite nicely.

Bomber - thanks Steve! Poured clear, deep brown with a short cap of tan head. The aroma picked up lightly-roasted sweeter chocolates, toasted oats, and buttermilk.. nice, but just a tad too buttery. The flavor was also buttery-sweet with milk chocolate, light lactic sourness, and herbal/earthy bitterness.. the back-end found some brown sugar and more lactic sourness.. sweet overall and well-composed. Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation that moved the beer smoothly across the palate..

Black colour with a light brown head. Roasted, light coffee bitter aroma with hints of some chocolate sweetness. Coffee bitter flavor with sweet notes from chocolate. Roasted finish.
