COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is a traditional filtered Pacific Northwest India Pale Ale. Although golden in color, this is not a light beer. With more than 60 bitterness units it’s got a bite to it, but is well balanced by the sweetness of a 7.4% alcohol by volume brew. This a is a very aggressive tasting beer.

Draft. An unclear golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of citrusy hops - from the CCC series I guess. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, hops, and citrus fruits - especially lemon, leading to a bitter finish.

On tap. Hazy and opaque orange with an off-white head leaving laces. Lightly citrusy hop aroma. Medium body, not much of a malt feel but fruit and caramel and an extremely dry and hoppy finish. 090709

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Solid hoppy fruity with a mix of apricot and mild grapefruit. Sweet and solid grapefruity hops flavoured. Slight downplayed bitterness at first, but slowly growing.

Bottle thanks to tever: Pours a clear golden bronze with a thin, wispy-lacing white head. Aroma has a lavender, grapefruit hop presence and some sweet caramel malt, but it is all pretty mild. Starts with a good caramel malty sweetness infused with a nice amount of carbonation and fullness of palate toward a bittersweet finish. Not as hoppy as I’d expect with an IPA, but would make a nice APA.

On tap poured a cloudy orange with a white head. Aroma of pine and grapefruit. Flavors of bitter citrus with a dry bitter finish.

Light gold color. Small white foamy head. Aroma is fruity and sweet. A medium bodied Imperial India Pale Ale. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are grapefruit and citrus, really sort of mild for a DIPA. Nicely balanced, with the malts being a little bit in the forefront. Touch of citrus bite, Smooth tasting. Mouthfeel is full and round, Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

On tap at brewpub. Pours a hazy gold with a thin bright white head and decent lacing. Very light aroma. Actually I can’t smell anyting out of this glass. The flavor has a brief splash of malt sweetness followed by citrus grapefruit hop bitterness. Not much in the way of late addition hop sweetness. It’s mostly just moderate grapefruit hop bitterness.

Draft. Golden amber beer with a nice white head. Woody, piney hop flavor with light malt backing. Slight citrus/woody aroma. Decent bitterness. Finishes dry. Nothing big about this beer, needs more oomph - especially for a IIPA. Nothing outstanding.
