COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is a traditional filtered Pacific Northwest India Pale Ale. Although golden in color, this is not a light beer. With more than 60 bitterness units it’s got a bite to it, but is well balanced by the sweetness of a 7.4% alcohol by volume brew. This a is a very aggressive tasting beer.

Not Bad. Does have some pine and grapefruit notes as stated below. The flavor gets better at a lower temp. Stays carbinated (Which is a positive for me) Been drinking the same bottle for over an hr. only 12 miles from brewery. U Save store in S Valley has it 7.3% 22 OZ Bottle.

Draft. An unclear golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of citrusy hops - from the CCC series I guess. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, hops, and citrus fruits - especially lemon, leading to a bitter finish.

On tap at the brewery. Excellent lacing, poor aroma, generic color, bitter, not much late-kettle hop addition. Pretty generic. Not bad, not good. Just sort of there.

Draft at the Bistro’s IPA Fest. Nose has floral hops mixed with a light wheaty banana ester. Clear yellow with a small lightly lacing off white head. Flavor is lightly bitter and fruity like a german hefe!

On tap. Hazy and opaque orange with an off-white head leaving laces. Lightly citrusy hop aroma. Medium body, not much of a malt feel but fruit and caramel and an extremely dry and hoppy finish. 090709

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Solid hoppy fruity with a mix of apricot and mild grapefruit. Sweet and solid grapefruity hops flavoured. Slight downplayed bitterness at first, but slowly growing.

At the brewpub i picked up a groler to take back home. Nice color, poured with a two finger head. A blast of hoppiness to the nose and senses. Of course had to have a second pint of this! People at the bar were very friendly!

UPDATED: JUL 9, 2009 Draught at the brewpub. I don’t know if the recipe changed or my tastes are just out of sync, but I thought this was an excellent IPA. Aroma is grapefruit and citrus hops and a hint of wood, with some caramel malt. Flavor is a nice balance of fairly aggressive hopping with sweet malt backing. Alcohol not noticeable. Quite tasty---rather hoppy, but doesn’t neglect to have an interesting malt character either.

Gold color with a wispy white head. Leaves tons of lacing. Soapy hop aroma. Lemony bitterness with caramel malt underpinning. Kinda tastes like an old IPA that has gone downhill, but it’s from the tap! Average palate.

UPDATED: APR 6, 2008 Draught at the brewpub. Clear gold with a small head. Sweet pale malt aroma with flowery, grassy and grapefruit-like hops. The flavor is sweet for an IPA, with nice hop flavor, but not much bitterness. Drinkable and full, with a smooth body. Not too bad, but more hop bitterness to balance the sweet body would make it much nicer. Rerate: Bottled by Sudwerk for Seabright. Seems fruitier, with more melon. Not really very hoppy or bitter for a 7+abv IPA. Looks a little better, so plus one, but the taste, though slightly different, is about the same lever of goodness. Yea...
