3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft @ Portland Old Port location. Chalice with a stem was used. Pitch black color with tan head. Excellent head retention. Tons of lace. Flavor is strong roasted malt and chocolate with lots of citrus and pine hops. As it warms; I pick up more resin. Light coffee notes. Texture is on the dry side. Needed water after I finished it. Medium body gives it high drinkability. Nice.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Portland brewpub, pours a dark black with a big creamy brown head and excellent lace. Nose is a big bomb of citrus hops. Taste is citrus grapefruit upfront with a nice cocoa chocolate on the finish with some bitterness. Love the dryness to this ipa. Great blend!
