Had at the Sebago in South Portland, Maine. I liked the red color of this. Beers can be so pretty. Tasted like brown sugar mixed with some coffee.

On tap at Sebago. Beautiful dark amber color. Caramel and brown sugar taste are accompanied by a somewhat stouty, chalky mouthfeel.

Dark brown; nutty, toffeeish aroma. Sweetish palate with decent malt development. Toasty, toasty, toasty.

I found this beer to be an average brown ale. I’d love to try it again, being that I had just drank the stout when I tried this puppy.

Poured with a nice head which quickly dissipated. Not much aroma but the flavour more than made up for it. Nice earthy taste with hints of chocolate and nuts. Very good brown ale.
