Nov 7, 2005 Draft, South Portland location. Golden orange body, decent sized fluffy white head. (3+) Citrusy aroma, with oranges being the dominant notes. Mild touch of resin in grassy bits are more in the flavour than the aroma. Citrus in the flavour is more grapefruit than oranges. Moderate-medium bitterness is enough to be interesting but not quite in the big leagues. Needs more depth of malt and hop character to go with the bitterness. Dry finish lingers. Average to medium palate. Good enough to become my beer of the night after the samplers, and the pint was slightly better than the sample.

Sep 29, 2005 Pours a clear orangey copper with a frothy and lacy off-white head. Smells of light herbal hops (Fuggles? not sure).
Taste is really bitter, unpleasantly so. Buttery, lots of Ringwood yeast here. Medicinal hops, astringent and abrasive. Not much malt taste to speak of and the hops just taste unpleasant. Mouth is thin with a long lingering, unpleasant bitterness. A toughie to drink. Hmm..let me consult my notes...ah, here it is: "Ick!" That about sums it up.

Sep 25, 2005 Clear golden hue covered by a nice layer of white foam. Immediately citrusy hop dominated aroma, juicy(sweet), yet astringent grapefruit, oranges and lemon flavors don’t leave the room for much else. Well leveled bitterness leaves quickens the pace between the sips. A particularly clean, but thin, malt lacking example that focuses on one-dimensional hoppiness and quaffability. Next?

Oranges, grapefruit, starfruit, name it. This is a clean, straightforward and diplomatic citrusy hop perfume, going for a direct hit into the IPA lovers’ hearts. There can’t be any oncoming surprises.
The Festivities:
Orangey hops and pink grapefruit follow up into a carefully laid out resinous bitterness, which happily lingers. There appears to be some watery passages, but they never dangerously thin out the lean honeyed body, only making the beer an easier quaff. This one has no outstanding personality; it is a bright, workmanlike, and delicate session IPA.
Transcendence:
The pounding of the hammers next door just stopped. It’s time for lunch.

Aug 16, 2005 (Draught) Sampled at the Great Lost Bear in Portland, ME. Lasting white near headless with a copper body. Nose is hoppy and flavour is double hoppy goodness. Very grapefruit and bitter. Good!

Aug 9, 2005 On tap at the brewpub. Clear golden color with a thin white head. Mild aroma of fruity hops. Interesting flavor of fruity hops with caramel and toasted malt. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation.

Jul 31, 2005 Draft - Poured a slightly orange amber in color with a white head that did not hang around. Aroma was mildly of cirus/pine hops and some malt. Flavor was a bit disappointing; not very strong with a weak hop flavor that did not match the bitter aftertaste. Drinkable, but not a strong IPA effort...

Jun 29, 2005 Pours a five-fingered cream head that fades slowly leaving a good lace. Clear amber color. Strong hoppy/floral nose. Medium carbonation and medium bodied. Starts with some sweetness, the hops kick in and finishes hoppy with a bitter after taste. Not as intense as some IPAs. $1.49 for a 12oz bottle from Tulley’s Beer & Wine Wells, Me. The ABV is 5.2%.
