COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We have followed the British tradition and created Frye’s Leap IPA which is one of the hoppiest beers in Maine at 55 IBU’s. Brewed with American 2-row, caramel 20L & 60L Highly hopped with Cascade, Centennial and Nugget and aggressively dry hopped with a mixture of Centennial and Cascade. Frye’s Leap IPA is an American-style India Pale Ale. It has a strong hop flavor and a medium body. Frye’s Leap IPA is light golden in color with a fruity hoppiness that comes from extra dry hop conditioning. The IPA is perfect on a summer day it pairs well with spicy foods, vinaigrettes and grilled vegetables. It also is great with oysters, clams and chilled soups.

It was clear and golden in color. The head was moderately sized, slightly bubbly, and off-white. It left just a bit of lacing. The smell had some herbs to it, but mainly orange and just a bit of pine as well. The taste was mildly sweet and floral, the orange comes back ever so slightly. The palate was medium also with a medium carbonation with a decently strong body. Overall, it is a very drinkable beer that I would come back to.

On tap at the Kennebunk location. An amber pour with a ring of white head; floral aroma; the taste is piney at first, but then developing some grapefruit citrus; the finish is dry, warming and satisfying. A very drinkable IPA that’s not as assertive as some, but still packs a punch.

12 ounce bottle. Thanks John! Pours a pale gold with a nice white head. Aroma of citrus, pine, and malt. Taste is grapefruit, pine, malt, and floral. Decent IPA.

A load of floral hops with some faint caramel undertones. Opaque orange appearance. Cutting bitter start, but finishes a disappointing wash out of dry malt. Body is dry as well, needs more snap though. It’s almost within the session range which is nice as few IPA’s are without deliberately giving something away. Decent east coast style brew.

Draft at Sebago with Andrew, Jay and Kramer. Pours a light golden body with thin white lacing. Aroma is pine, bitter hop and soap. Mouthfeel is medium to thin with notes of bitter citrus hop, pine and soap. Some malt and grain in the finish as well.

Keg at the Portland branch. Pours clear gold, mildly effervescent with a lingering, white cream head. The aroma gives off strong perfume notes, some bubblegum, citrus. Medium sweet flavor with balanced sweetness, more perfume, floral hops, mandarin orange, pale bread. Medium bodied with fine, creamy carbonation. Decent hoppy finish, moderately sweet, further floral character. Not bad.

355ml bottle. Nice, unfiltered look. Taste really didn’t do it for me on this one. Aggressively earthy to the point of dirt, mild grapefruit, malt got totally lost. Not nearly well balanced enough to be truly enjoyed.

Bottle on the beach, York, ME. Not a bad IPA, but nothing special either, drinkable. Says "Maine’s legendary IPA", I imagine there are some better ones.

12oz bottle. Pours a cear pale amber color with a fluffy white head. Aroma of sweet malt and piney hops. Taste follows the nose, with sweet malt to start, and finishing with string piney hop bitterness.
