COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our German Style Hefe Weizen is brewed with 2-Row Barley & Malted Wheat. This refreshing unfiltered beer is pale gold in color with a cloudy appearance. Its aroma of banana, clove & lemongrass come from the traditional German Wheat Beer Yeast which also give this classic beer its effervescence, drinkability and fruity flavor. Great with whitefish, shellfish and chicken. SEASONAL: APRIL

Bottle at home in NH, shared with and thanks to Charlie. Pours clear, yellow-gold with a small, white head. Mild wheat nose. Light sweet flavor, kinda bland, some dough and yeast. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. OK finish, some subtle fruits, yeast and wheat. Very average overall, perhaps slightly below. Not bad to drink, though.

12oz Bottle, poured at RIFT Hefeweizen calibration tasting. Aroma gives away oxidation, but then brings up muddled yeast. This seems a bit darker than average, but still towards style lightness. I didn’t have a lot to say about it. Didn’t really grab me and the oxidation was a bit harsh.

12 ounce thanks to AirForceHops. Light hazy color. Straw. Banana. Wheat taste. Ok overall.

The pour is hazy yellow with an olive hue and a thin fizzy head. The aroma has a notable lemon zing twist with some yeast and spices but for a wheat beer, the wheat is barely noticeable. Thin body. The taste has the same lemon zing and yeasty flavor with a slight, crisp hop bite but the wheat seems to be downplayed.

Bottle. Pour was straw colored with haze and a weak initial head and lacing. The aroma was wheaty bananas. The flavor was wheaty bananas, some caramel, lacking phenolic yeasty kick, a little flat too. Drinkable for sure, but just mediocre.

Bière de style Hefe-Weizen de 4% d’alcool, goût épicé-fruité trop prononcé, pas mon style de bière, me fait beaucoup penser à la Chambly noire de Unibroue, dégusté sur la plage de Kennebunk, 3ieme journée.
