COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lake Trout Stout is Midnight black with a thick and creamy head. It is a full body stout brewed with oatmeal and plenty of hops to balance the roasted barley. Our stout is an experience. It tastes the same way it looks dark and rich. You will preceive it as thick and chewy and our Lake Trout stout delivers. It is named after the famous deep water Sebago Lake Togue or Lake Trout which inhabit the depths of Maine’s deepest lake. Enjoy.

On nitro at the brewpub in Portland, ME. Pours a black body with a cascading, brown, finger-width, creamy head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is smooth oats and chocolate with a moderate roast backing. A bit of a soft vanilla. Flavor is similar. Creamy oats and rich chocolates with a moderate roast backing that increases towards the end a bit with a light piney hop coming in. Finishes smooth and dry with a light-medium bitterness from the hops and roasts before leaving a lengthy aftertaste. Creamy, medium body and a soft, light carbonation. Overall, a pretty straightforward, but solid sweet stout. Rich chocolates and a nice roast backing as well as a light piney hopping. Easy drinking and enjoyable.

12oz bottle in a English pint. Pours black with a thick, tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, some light coffee or chocolate, and a good amount of bitter hops. Flavor thew same, with a lot of roasted malts for this style. Average texture. A decent beer

Black, tan head. Nose is roast, milky malt, sweet caramel, lightly burnt. Flavor follows - well balanced sweet roastiness, milk, more honey than caramel. Solidly bitter finish balanced by the malt. Really nice.

650ml bottle. Poured pretty much black, with ruby brown around the edges where light could get through. One finger of mocha brown head that went away fairly quickly. Interestingly, although the beer was a thick black the carbonation on the sides was visible. Decent sticky lacing. Aroma is not strong, some roasty, sweet malt, alcohol and soy sauce. Mild earthy hops. Taste is quite thin, mostly burnt malt at the back of the tongue, some off sweetness, tanginess and a touch more soy. Body is both watery and heavy, but the carbonation was decent. Overall, it’s an acceptable stout, but there are plenty of better ones out there.

tap at Portland location - Pours near black with a long lasting tan head and heaving lacing. The aroma is mild, roasty, chocolate malt. It tastes of sweet, dark roast malt with a full body and a roasty, mildly bitter finish.

On draft @ Brew pub in Gorham.Poured with a small, lasting, beige head. Some lacing. Heavy malt, roasted coffee, and a touch of chocolate as well. Pleasant to your nose. Taste is similar to the aroma. Average carbonation. Has a creamy yet dry finish. I can drink a 6 pack with ease, It’s worth a try if you can get a fresh bottle. I would buy again.
