Lake Trout Stout is Midnight black with a thick and creamy head. It is a full body stout brewed with oatmeal and plenty of hops to balance the roasted barley. Our stout is an experience. It tastes the same way it looks dark and rich. You will preceive it as thick and chewy and our Lake Trout stout delivers. It is named after the famous deep water Sebago Lake Togue or Lake Trout which inhabit the depths of Maine’s deepest lake. Enjoy.

Bottle. Pours a thin black body that went reddish at the corners. A tall tan head had loose bubbles and fairly high retention. The smell was filled with sweet malts and a bit of charcoal or burnt wood. It felt watery and flat on my tongue as most of the carbonation must have sucked up into the head. The flavor was weak with notes of crushed walnuts, buttery toffee and sweet watery malts. Almost the sensory feeling of when you put too much water in oatmeal. I poured out almost half of the bomber, and I was splitting it... does not speak well.

Bomber from the Market Basket in Rockport Maine. Pours black with a big puffy 2 finger light brown head. Nose is sweet and roasty with a nice rich chocolate character. Taste is chocolaty and sweet and slightly thin, much better nose than taste, but overall far better than I guessed from a random bomber.

From memory. On draft at the pub near the port. Black with lasting light brown head and lotsa lace. Roasted coffee and chocolate aroma. Rich chocolate and roasted dark chocolate flavors with mild underlying bitterness. Rich creamy texture. Medium bosy and low carb. Delicious.

Bottle. Poured a monsterous foamy tan head. Aroma is choclate, coffee and light hops. Flavor is choclate, sweet malt and light bitter hops. Way over carbonated.

Draught@brewpub. Like a lot of Sebago’s offerings it tastes fairly close to the expected style profile. This is my favorite. Raw cocoa, medium coffee-esque flavors. Worth a pint for a try.

Pitch black with a massive sticky tan head. Aroma is quite herbal and earthy with a soft roasty nose. There is an aroma of minerally earthiness. Sort of strangely lean and minerally. The flavour is quite lovely, soft chocolate, bitter and roasty with an espresso-like character at the end. Herbal bitterness on the back. I don’t get any oatmeal in this at all,. The aroma as it warms gets very charry and roasty with a prominent bitter chocolatey notes. Bitterness on the back is quite assertive. Good, but very unusual.
