COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lake Trout Stout is Midnight black with a thick and creamy head. It is a full body stout brewed with oatmeal and plenty of hops to balance the roasted barley. Our stout is an experience. It tastes the same way it looks dark and rich. You will preceive it as thick and chewy and our Lake Trout stout delivers. It is named after the famous deep water Sebago Lake Togue or Lake Trout which inhabit the depths of Maine’s deepest lake. Enjoy.

This is a great beer. Often undershadowed by Gritty McDuff’s, this beer may take Maine’s best Stout. Gritty’s is an institution in Freeport

Pours black as used motor oil, carbonation boils up and beer cascades down prettier than a well-poured Guinness leaving a thick, creamy, beige head. Lacing isn't the right word. It's more like the inside of my glass is coated with beige paint. Nose is malt and dark-roasted grain. Taste is balanced: a touch on the bitter side. Medium to full body. Moderate carbonation. Very nice! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the Kennebunk location. An intense black pour with a scummy looking beige head; aroma of coffee and chocolate; sweet and milky in the mouth with the oats coming through; and a dry smooth chocolate finish. A nice stout.

Bottle. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aroma is faintly chocolate. Toasty, robust flavor with a lingering hop bitterness. A very good stout

Draft at Sebago with Andrew, Jay and Kramer. Pours a deep brownish body with thin off white head. Aroma is roast, malt and cocoa. Mouthfeel is thin with notes of roasted malt, light cocoa, and faint coffee roast. Overall, eh.

Keg at the Portland branch. Pours deep brown with a creamy beige cap. The nose has lots of ashy roast, a bit of chocolate. Light to medium sweet flavor with bitter char, more ashy roast, tobacco, dirt, cocoa. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Light sweetness to finish, more bitter char, earth, burnt marshmallows, subtle coffee, baking cocoa. Decent.

So not happy at all. They must have change the recipe. The menu said ABV is 4.7. There was a off white head the beer is black. Not much carbonation. Taste roasted malt no chocolate at all and the beer is very thin. Do yourself a favor pass on this one. Had a sebago brewing co. on Payne in Portland, Maine.

This is a really nice dark roasted stout. On draft, it has a really nice head, great aroma, and a very dark, almost black color. The taste is a very smooth roast flavor with a nice hop finish that leaves a dryness to the palate. One of their best.
