A very nice pale ale which served as an effective palate-cleanser between the cheesy toast I just ate and whatever food I consume next..... Is this a borderline IPA?? It doesnt say what type of ale is in there on the label....

Draft at The Pony Bar. Made with all Maine-grown ingredients. Fresh and hoppy, with some pine resin in the flavor. Impressive, and a cool idea - I’ve always been a fan of Maine - but ends up being a little too bitter.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle thanks go lukaduke. Pours a very hazy copper color with a beige cap of foam. The aroma has light resinous and a cotton candy note. The taste doesn’t have much in the way of bitterness until the finish. Sweetness is dominant here.

A very smooth and fresh tasting ale. Good hop notes and a lightly sweet malty feel.

Pours a deep copper color with an aggressive eggshell colored head... nice sticky lacing. Subtle aromas of malty sweet honey and touches of citrus to help brighten it up a bit. The palate is much the same with a good clean malt flavor that holds the pace for subtle spicy citrusy earthy hop notes to mingle. Good balance decent beer just wish the hop presence was a bit bigger considering the label is plastered with them. Nice bitter finish....
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Scrapersnbeer (977) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - JUL 9, 2012
Hoppy sharp citrus layered with light malts. Kind of a muddy orange brown color. Tastes bitter and earthy. Chalky medium body. Not a very pale beer, though typically a Maine beer as indicated by the heavy water profile.

Bottle thanks to sanborn13. Deep hazy amber. Fruity caramel malt and fresh citrus hops. Flavor is lively citrus and pine hop bitterness with caramel malt sweetness and light toasted malt. Residual tangy fruit and citrus.

From a 12 fl. oz. bottle. It pours a slightly hazy medium-dark amber with not much head. It may have been a bit too chilly. The aroma is alive with earthy hops, wild berries or raspberries, and light pale malts so it is well balanced on the nose. The body is medium and creamy. The taste is more hopped than the aroma. A nice take on the style.
