COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Northern Light Ale is crisp light body all malt beer. It roots are that of a European Lager yet we use our house ale yeast to ferment it. The German hops balance the pale malt to give it great drinkablility. Northern Light Ale goes well with all light entree's, salads, grilled chicken or just a great session beer.

Draft @ Portland location. Nearly clear piss color. Weak nose is unknown fruit and generic hop. Taste is nearly the same. Body and texture is extremely light like it should be. Dry texture with weak bitterness. Not the worst I’ve had in this style. Somewhat drinkable.

On tap at Sebago, Portland in April 2010. Pale straw colour. Slight haze. Usual clean, light, inoffensive stuff. Drinkable and easygoing. Not much body. Quite thirst quenching.

Draught, 3.8% at the brewpub. Weak grapefruity hop aroma. Hazy yellow colour. Small white head. The flavour has a nice, refreshing grapefruity hop note. Does not taste low alcohol except for a slight breadiness. Good mouthfeel for ABV.

(Rating #3183)

[tap] Light citrusy hops aroma with a faint apricot note and some sweet flowers. Foggy, dark straw with a white patch and lace. Pleasant, sulfury lotus root malt flavour with gentle herbal hops and low to moderate bitterness. Light body, moderate carbonation, slightly bitter finish.

Draught @Brewpub. Not my style but I tried to like it. A mass appeal beer that is not inventive or flavorful. It does well on the carb front and there is some hop flavor floating around in there that puts it past the commercial beer.

Portland Brew Pub. Draft. For a light Ale a lot of hop flavor, light Gold in Color and some very nice buttery notes which seemed to be present in most of the sebago beers. Not too much carbonation and some lacing. Overall quite a nice light Ale and overall I liked Sebago
