From a 12 fl. oz. sample bottled 11.24.09. It has a handsome amber-brown tone with virtually no head and limited lacing. The aroma is a tad hoppy with a bit of caramel malts. Medium mouthfeel. The taste is slightly sweet but bitter. Bittersweet? It was kind of nice but nothing out of the ordinary.

Cask (gravity) at NERAX North, Haverhill MA, 7 November 2009. Nice clear bronze colour. No head. Malty aroma - a little bready. Nice rich malty flavour. Not too sweet. Some treacle toffee. Yeah, I liked this. Worked well from cask.

Clear dark amber color. Aroma is of sweeter malts, caramel, yogurt, and slight hops. Taste is of wheat, caramel, and some dundee. Leaves a sweeter malts finish. Ehh nothing special.

Tap GLB. Simple winter brew for me. Not too powerful or complex and had very simple flavors. Thin body and weak.

Sedimented auburn. Lacy beige lasting head. Malt oriented nose can’t hide soft, but off-putting plastic notes. Besides, we’re dealing with a gingerbread type of medley with toasty, but loose maltiness, avoiding most fruitiness besides an orangey tang, but heading towards a lively, albeit untied floral noble hop finish. Minimal spiciness. Rather shy mouth presence as the texture feels mostly.. spongey. Has good elements, ain’t overly sweet, but feels poorly integrated.

22 oz bottle. Pours a clear red amber color with a weak white head. Grainy aroma with a thin palate. Flavor is malts and grain with a small hoppy finish. Not much else to say.
