1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20 Papsoe (25131) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 22, 2005
(Bottle 33 cl) Pilsener golden with tiny impurities and a creamy, white head. Malty aroma. Very light body indeed, notes of soggy grain - rather than malt - with an edge of cardboard. You do sense a touch of bittering hops, but in the finish it has vanished completely. 221105
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 yngwie (10760) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - NOV 6, 2005
UPDATED: JUL 24, 2006 Bottle. Christianssands Bryggeri once formulated the reciepe, but had a ten year long contract. The brewing was transfered to Aass Bryggeri after the ten years, with the same reciepe. The beer is clear, light golden, with a decent white head. Both aroma and flavour is pretty non-existing, but not bad. (051106)
1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 gunnfryd (8556) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - SEP 17, 2006
Bottle. Golden colour with a white head. Aroma is fruity malt. Flavour is fruity malt, grain. Thin
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 larsga (5325) - Oslo, NORWAY - FEB 9, 2006
White medium-sized normal-laced head; light copper body. Light, clean floral hop aroma with faint malty notes. Bitter, floral hop taste with lovely dry, grassy hop aftertaste. Some grain/straw flavour. Metallic taste lingers. For a low alcohol this is very good.
1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 KnutAlbert (5186) - Oslo, NORWAY - JAN 18, 2006
A whiff of hoppy aroma, then it’s gone. Watery and thin. I don’t honestly know why I bother to review these beers!
1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 OleR (4247) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUL 9, 2007
Bottle. Clear pilsener golden, thin white head. Almost aroma-less, some faint whiffs malt and hops only. Not flavorful either. Low malt level, but a fair amount of bittering hops makes it drinkable though. Skinny body. Watery mouthfeel. Mediocre.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Sigmund (4166) - Tau, NORWAY - JUN 10, 2003
(Bottle). Light (which in Norway means ABV not above 2.5%) beer, contract brewed for Norgesgruppen (Norwegian grocery stores) by Christianssands Bryggeri, part of the Hansa-Borg group. Looks like a pilsener, less aroma, flavour and aftertaste. I've had this beer many times with dinner when I had to drive afterwards (and it's dirt cheap!), no offensive taste but definitely not a beer you'd buy to enjoy on its own.
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Cunningham (2972) - Halden, NORWAY - AUG 12, 2012
Yellow colour with a white head. Grassy and a bit sweet nose. Very light waterish and grassy flavour. A bit sweet texture. [Bottle from Joker in Halden, Norway]
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 ClubGonzo (2695) - Bergen, NORWAY - NOV 19, 2010
Bottle. Pours a light yellow body with a small, diminishing head. Aroma is dry, dusty hops, hints of pale malt and wort. Not faulty, this far. The first sip reveals that this is not such a bad low alcohol, at least not among the 0 % ABV class - there is a decently balanced hop element to the sweet, wort-like maltiness and the taste is pretty clear-cut. No major brewing flaws evident. Not good by far of course, but I still think this is a bit underrated.
1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 tarjei (1954) - Bryne, NORWAY - APR 24, 2007
Bottle. If you have to drive your car, and want something beer-alike to drink, then you should consider not drinking this one. Pilsener with almost no taste.
