(Bottle 33 cl) 4.7% ABV in this version. Pilsener golden with a nice, creamy head leaving some lacework. Slightly watery mouthfeel, but smooth. Good malty feel and a dry, hoppy finish. For a cheap pils this is not too bad. 261105

Pale yellow, not much head. Metal, vegetables and diacetyl aroma. Butterscotch, buttery flavor finishing a bit malty. No hops found. Very low quality, a bit similar to some low quality Polish lagers.

500ml green can (4.7%). Straw yellow coloured body with a dense, white foam rapidly reduced to almost nothing. Thin foamy mouthfeel with a dash of citric flavoured water added a touch of sweetness. Lively CO2. Metallic impression. Howeever, in Norway a pilsner can in fact get even worser than this one (24.03.2007).

22 NOK can from a grocery in Voss drank in hotel in Nordheimsund: no remortgage required for this one. Bright foaming gold with persistent lacing foam. Clean sappy and honey aroma with hints of rubber, lemon cake and glue. Soft and shrub-accented with grass, wafer and crushed biscuit suggestions. Doesn’t look like the local lads care much for this but to my palate it’s a competent budget moomin-beater without off notes.

Medium, white, fine-laced head over pale yellow body. Very faint aroma, in which noble hops can just be made out, together with something else that doesn’t seem too promising. Taste is watery initially, but quickly develops into a quite strongly hoppy taste, with strong off flavours. Cardboard, wet straw, and bitterness can be made out. Aftertaste is bitter. The hops seem OK, maybe noble, but they drown in the off flavours. This was decidedly unpleasant.
