[4667-20120817] Tap. Lemon drops aroma. Clear, light yellow white body with a medium-lasting creamy white head. Lots of lemony lemon yeast in the flavour. Light body. Quite refreshing. (7/3/7/3/14) 3.4

Overheard: "Nice but English reporters aren’t my face."
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 orangesol (473) - Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 23, 2012
I have no clue how I haven’t reviewed this one yet. Oh well, severed on-tap at the Brewpub.
A - Pours hazy golden yellow with a nice one finger tall white head leaving spotty strings of lace down most of the glass.
S - Smells of bready wheat, fresh zested citric rind, dash of spicy yeast and some clove with a tiny bit of bubblegum coming through at the very end.
T - Starts off with the typical chewy wheat character that binds the entire beer together. Hints of spicy yeast, bubblegum, clove, orange and lemon peel and some light residual sweetness help break up the wheat. Finish is chewy, combining with some spice/sweetness to linger on the palate for a short period of time after consumption.
M - Medium-Light body with moderate carbonation. Fresh, chewy feel with some nice spice/light sweetness in each sip.
O - I usually don’t like this style but this is a pretty solid Wit. It has everything I would look for in the style and it is very easy to consume. Perfect beer for the lighter drinker.

On tap at Selin’s Grove. Pours a clear golden straw color with a thin white head. Gentle wheat, coriander and orange. Soft herbal notes, gentle wheat. Light bitterness, wheat and coriander. Sweet, nice and tasty.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 jercraigs (6603) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 21, 2012
2012-08-17. Very lightly hazy pale yellow small white head. 3+ Flavour is sweet with a very floral hop character that has sort of chamomile or slight perfumey quality to it. Similar aroma, muted sweet pale malt. Average to thin bodied palate. Decent but far too floral and perfumey for my tastes. On tap at Selins Grove, Pennsylvania

Tap at the brewpub. Low haze white pour. Weaker foam and lace. Sharp lavender and lemongrass nose. Taste is mega lemongrass smack down.
Not bad. Perhaps too chemical for some. More aggressive spicing.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 ryan (3187) - Beltsville, Maryland, USA - AUG 17, 2012
Fruity and estery nose with citrus and coriander. Lightly sweet, very lightly bitter, decent spice that doesn’t overpower, well balanced orange peel. Very solid Wit.

On draft at the Pub: This year’s version is very nice. I made the mistake of ordering an orange slice with it. (I’ve been scarred by bland tastless wits from other establishments.) This was clean fruity-spicy with no scary off-flavors. I would have had a second except the kriek was still on tap.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 joeneugs (2176) - Livermore, California, USA - AUG 21, 2011
On tap at the brewpub. It pours yellow with a white head. The aroma is wheat, lemon, and perfume. One of the more aromatic witbiers I can remember. The flavor is very flowery/perfumy with notes of wheat, lemon, and spices. Very nice beer.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 DiarmaidBHK (2390) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 14, 2011
This is not their best beer. It pours white with streaks of pineapple yellow. Estery notes on the nose. Their are some banana notes on the tongue. It’s not as dry as most wits. It feels more like a hefe. It’s all a bit muddled.
4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 TreborWhip (360) - Reading, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 9, 2010
Sampler at the brewpub poured a translucent yellow with tall white head. We debated over and over about the special spices used in this ale. Steve would not divulge the secret ingredient/s however. Spicey aroma. Strong sweet malts, star anise (licorice) or fennel, allspice, coriander, and other spices. Every sip was a new sensation to the palate. Very nice wit.
