4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 DocLock (6774) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 23, 2013
Draft from the brewpub. Pours hazy deep bold copper colored with a finger of off-white head that leaves copious lace. Nose is huge fruitiness, mango, strawberry, spare pale and caramel malts, resiny hops. Tastes caramel malty, resiny in a syrupy sense, with big mango and star fruit, dense palate, complex finish, and a delicious flavor overall. This one is great.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a hazy orange with a thick white head. Aroma of grassy and garlicky hops, pot, caramel malt. Flavor of lots of hops - especially garlicky hops, spicy hops. Much hippies than I expected for an APA and it’s super tasty!

Draft at the brewery. Lovely beer, I think maybe better than the IPA- really nice hints of melon and touches of pineapple mixing in with citrus and pine bitterness. Clean and crisp, unfettered and superbly made. Damn good beer.

Served on-tap at the brewpub.
A - Pours golden amber orange with a nice one finger tall white head leaving small rings of lace down parts of the glass.
S - Smells of caramel, pine, mildly toasted grain and some dulled citric fruit and hops. Not as hoppy as in the past, I think this might have been the bottom of the keg.
T - Starts off with some sweet caramel quickly giving way to dulled citric fruit, grassy hops and the bready grains. The hops and fruit have really fallen off from what I have experienced in the past. Finish is a little sweet with some lingering bitterness.
M - Medium-Light body with moderate carbonation. Malty, bitter feel from start to finish.
O - I really liked this one when I had is on cask and while this version was still good it lacked the bright hops I have come to expect from it. I will have to try it again next time I am up there.

2012-08-17. Crisp orange amber body with a modest beige head and lace. 3+ Flavour is a bit muddled, nice citrusy hop undertones. Mild malt has a lightly astringency to it, and mild citrus notes linger in the finish. 3+ Lemon and orange up front in aroma. A muted note of something unpleasant not is not quite a dishwater like quality makes occasional appearances. 6+ Average bodied palate is smooth but on the thin side. Okay, much better after it warms up with pleasant lemony hop touches coming out more strongly. On tap at Selins Grove, Pennsylvania

Light citrus hop nose with a touch of sweet honey. Taste is lightly sweet, lightly bitter, with grapefruit and cotton candy. Simple, straightforward, solid, but unremarkable.

Growler, not very lively out of it, kinda workable... Clear golden amber light lacing no head... Light malt aroma, nice mild fruit... Some pine some mild stone fruit, some light liveliness... Decent beer, would like to try this on tap...
