crizay (1056), Brook Park (was Tampa,FL), Ohio, USA Feb 25, 2008 Growler from Kramer. Copper pour, faint white head. Aroma is biscuity, citrus and grapefruit. Flavor is citrus, grapefruit and some pine with a bready finish. Medium bodied and lower carbonation but probably cause of a week old growler. Not much to say, citrus, grapefruit, medium bitterness and just a good IPA.
redlight (962), Winter Park, Florida, USA May 10, 2008 Citrus, musty, alittle catty, with hints of GANJA! Pours golden amber. Bitter, very bitter, pine resin (feels heavy) sweet malts in the background. Finishes a little bready. Great IPA. jayg (952), Florida, USA May 6, 2008 Sampled from growler, courtesy Beerlando. Clear copper-orange with a thin white head. Strong grassy hop aroma with some minor citrus notes. Moderate hop character throughout the taste, nice peppery finish. Clean and aggressive IPA. Well done. willblake (1895), Long Branch, New Jersey, USA Apr 26, 2008 20061216 Juicy fruit and sweet aromas. Flavor is not so sweet, but not dry. Medium to light body. Smells great still but has a lazy quality about it (?). dchmela (500), Orlando, Florida, USA Apr 25, 2008 Growler courtesy Beerlando. Medium amber reddish tan with a thick off white head. Spicy grapefruit hop aroma. Really assertive fresh hops, great aroma. Big malty taste with a nice hop bitterness. Very balanced taste, not too much malt nor hops, yet still powerful. Dry citrus tang in the aftertaste. Another great beer from Selins. Beerlando (1003), Orlando, Florida, USA Apr 25, 2008 Growler courtesy Kramer17801. Pours a clear orange amber color with a foamy, off-white head. Minimal spotty lacing noted. The nose shows big citrus hops, covering oranges, grapefruit, and lemon. Toasted bread and light caramel comprise a nice malty backdrop for the hops to do their thing. The flavor is again quite citrusy and bitter, yet incredibly well balanced. There’s a juiciness to this, almost like the beer was garnished with a splash of fresh lemon and grapefruit. Medium bodied, smooth, and easily quaffable. Not particularly complex, but still a really good IPA.
