COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Traditionally made strong & highly hopped so it would keep on its long journey, from England to India during British rule. Ours is a wonderfully bitter beer with a spicy aroma, some fruity characteristics and a lingering hop finish. A great aperitif!

On tap at Selin’s Grove - 02.19.2010. A: Pours a somewhat-darkened orange with a nice white head. S: Very nice citrus notes with a little bit of herbal hop notes in there as well. Some slightly sweet malt hiding in the background. T: Very nice hop domination--a beautiful combination of bitterness and hoppy citrus and tropical flavors. Slightly sweet, yet definitely not balanced. A bit of herbal and resiny hops. M: Good carbonation. Medium body. Fairly dry. D: Exceptionally drinkable--definitely would not know that it was 7% without being told so. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 02-21-2010

Growler from the brewery. Pours turbid orangy copper with 1-finger of lacy off-white head. Nose is very fruity, with tangerine, mango, caramel malt. Tastes caramel malty, smooth, complex, with mid-palate fruity notes of mango, pineapple, tangerine, and some berry notes. More fruity than piney or resiny, this one is very good.

Growler courtesy of Matt McCue. Thanks, bro. Congrats on your new job at PSU-Berks. Pours slightly opaque with nice head that leaves significant lacing. Nose is under bripe peaches, fruity aldehydes and mineral water. first sip is stone fruits, mild pineapple with spicy east coast IPA flavors but a nice grapefruit with sugar. finish is clean with some lingering bitterness.

3 growlers from Selin's Grove, 3 flat beers. This one had the most carbonation. Great citrusy aroma, not too bitter. Very enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

[4684-20120817] Growler. Fresh light orange hops aroma. Clear, golden amber body with a quick creamy off-white head. Light candy corn and cotton candy orange hops flavour. Medium body. Delicious IPA -- mislabelled as the "Bullfrog Nacht Rauch", which it clearly wasn’t. (7/3/8/4/16) 3.8

Draft at Selin’s Grove. Hazy copper pour, decent frothy head. Nose and flavor marked with nice fresh grassy hop, notes of grapefruit and touches of lemon zest, and some caramel and spice notes in the back as well. Clean and well made; not amazing, but very tasty.

Draft. Hazy golden pour with with white head. Grassy and Greg citrus hop aromas. Flavor has similarities with prima, however ends a little bit more muted. Still very nice and fresh.

2012-08-17. Orange body with a small beige head. Modest aroma, sort of hoppy, earthy caramel malt. 6+ Flavour is pale ale like, modest hops, modest bitterness with a kiss of smokey earthy character if you look hard for it (which I was since I was originally told it was a rauchbier! So perhaps discount that a bit). Average bodied palate. Decent, I am very curious to know if I would have scored it higher know what it was at the time! Growler, Campground Brewdown 2012

Growler shared at Campdown Brewdown. Clear orange pour with medium white foam. Herbal, squashy hop nose. Excellent, dank nose. Taste is thicker, oily, bitter, herbal. Very rich with no astringency or wooly, sawdust tannins. Nice.

Growler shared by Chaney. Thanks Brandon! A: Hazy orange with a healthy, half inch of head that possesses good retention and leaves some decent lacing on the tulip glass. S: Whoa! I can already tell this is going to be awesome. Citrus and hop aromas as fresh and alluring as can be. T: I am truly floored. This beer blew my expectations out of the water. Delicious flavors of apricot, oranges, tangerines, nectarines, grapefruit, floral notes, and fresh hop flavor. Just wow. M: Medium bodied with a beautifully bitter, slightly tart finish. D: While I was drinking this beer, it was literally hard to focus on anything else. I could drink a growler of this by myself, and I know I’d be catching the drips at the end. I really, really like this beer...a lot! Serving type: growler Reviewed on: 12-22-2010

Nice lacing, small white head, piney aroma, lively, very piney with notes of stone fruit, a little fruity pebbly... Medium body, very good...
