adrian910ss (1051), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 14, 2008 On draft at the brewpub. Pours a coppery amber with a medium beige head. Pine hoppy aroma with grassy and citrus tones. Taste of piney and grassy hops with a citrus feel to it. Miver (470), WillowStreet, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 31, 2008 On draft at brewpub. Poured deep copper in color with a frothy off white head and great lacing. Aroma of piney and floral hops. Taste is of caramel, citrus and floral hops. Very nice sweet and sticky hop taste. I think I still liked the SNAFU better, but this one was a very close 2nd. acrdz (4493), Boulder, Colorado, USA Feb 1, 2008 Updated: Mar 31, 2008Dark copper brown. Sweet cherry and chewy caramel hop nose, with sweet citrus and bread crusts. Sweet tasting, sugary, with juicy maraschino cherry hops, and some rich, toasty bread malts. Fresh, sugary, frothy. Excellent stuff... a hefty winter warmer hopped up to IPA levels. kmweaver (2273), Nicaragua Dec 29, 2007 Draft @ Selin’s Grove. Pours a dark, slightly hazy amber color; off-white head with gorgeous, fine-bubbled lacing that coats the glass. Plenty of biscuity, earthy English hops in the aroma; hop oils and resins coming through; fresh. Lively carbonation. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: tons of chewy citrus and earthy English hops; resinous and dank, well-balanced with some biscuity and earthy maltiness underneath; very generous, smooth hop profile, and one of the better employments of English hops I can think of trying recently. Lengthy, bitter English hops and biscuity malts in the finish; never astringent; no sharp edges.
