On tap at the Selins Grove Brew Pub. Poured a deeper and hazy amber color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, toasty, and a trace of biscuitiness. Tastes of caramel, the same toastiness, and lightly earthy.

Draft at the brewery, August 2007
20% opaque, with a glowing rusty deep red color. Crisp, clean apple and caramel flavor, with some sharp wood and scotch as well, and maybe some maple and molasses notes. Brash but clean palate, with red apples and a slight metallic note in the finish. Sharp, perhaps a little too carbonated, but overall it’s a nice beer. Faint apple and maple nose with some medicinal scents as well, but nothing too offensive.

Very nice scottish export goin on here. Medium amber in color with an off white small head leaving nice lace. Aroma is slightly peaty with sweet malt and hints of roasted barley. No hops in aroma and only a hint in the flavor with low hop bitterness. Flavor is sweet and malty but very clean and not cloying. Clean, smooth and very easy drinking. Excellent session beer.

Draft, Selin’s Grove Brewing Co. Pours a hazy, golden-amber color; off-white head with patchy lacing. Very light aroma with a slight, dried red fruit note. Light carbonation. Medium mouthfeel: chewy caramel and a milk chocolate note upfront; some dried fruits appear mid-palate; pleasant malt character throughout. Medium, candy sugar and caramel in the finish.
