Dickinsonbeer (2565), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Mar 1, 2005 Very nice scottish export goin on here. Medium amber in color with an off white small head leaving nice lace. Aroma is slightly peaty with sweet malt and hints of roasted barley. No hops in aroma and only a hint in the flavor with low hop bitterness. Flavor is sweet and malty but very clean and not cloying. Clean, smooth and very easy drinking. Excellent session beer. SETANTA (562), Allentown, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 26, 2002 Excellent maltiness, slight residual sweetness, hops subdued Probiere (992), Iowa, USA Jan 24, 2004 Tangy peat and active carbonation. Ooooh, malt. Smokey, semi-dry finish that grows on you. Bit of alcohol gives the illusion this is a bigger beer. Pretty good. Miver (470), WillowStreet, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 17, 2007 On draft at the brew pub. Poured amber with light head. More then a hint of Biscuit. Tasted like a KFC biscuit which I’m a big fan of. Nice buttery mouthfeel with a crisp finish. Hints of caramel, and molasses. Not bad, but a little thin overall. fredandboboflo (722), East Setauket, New York, USA Oct 31, 2008 Tap. Aroma of leafy hops, nutty malt, a touch of citrus. Flavor brings no surprises; sweet, semi-rich maltiness. Nice Scottish, whatever that means.
