Oct 27, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. Pours dark brown with a super thick and foamy tan head like a milkshake. Aroma of light sweet roasted malt. Flavor of sweet oatmeal, roasted malt, and light bitter chocolate. Smooth from the nitro. Meh, this was ok but didn’t stand out from any other oatmeal stout.

Sep 15, 2008 On tap at Selin’s Grove brewpub. Very dark, roasted malts, chocolate, thick and smooth. Probably my favorite of the bunch.

Jul 20, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. Fresh, roasty aroma between coffee, chicory and fire. Nice crispness. Pours a black-brown with mahogany fringe and rim in tan. Flavor is gentle but rich and develop. A good interplay of roast, caramels, and coffee. Oatmeal lends a nice body fix. Easily drank, but not watery. I could see cozying up with this in the winter. Clean, with nice flavors, good roast balance and a decent texture. A fine stout.
