Tap at Selins Grove. Deeper clear cola with dense, coffee foam. Great retention. Thick, malty nose with maple and brown sugar. Taste is dry,
sharply bitter with big brown sugar and thick rustic maltiness. Excellent roast character. Comes across as porter or schwarzbier. Very clean but thinner. Palate is weak. Malt driven. Lighter for style. Now that I see the abv, well, there you go.

Dark chocolate and molasses nose. Rich chocolate, light toffee, molasses and a soft and creamy mouthfeel. Very nice.

At brewery. The aroma is roasty malt, chocolate, caramel. The appearance is deep brown, light tan head. The flavor is like the aroma. The finish is roast, light pine bitterness. Medium in body, thin for the style. Decent.

Pours dark brown with a medium tan head. Roasty caramel and mild cocoa in the aroma. Flavor has chocolate and nuts...touch of caramel. Mouthfeel is medium and the finish has nice roast.

Draft. Pours deep, dark brown with average, creamy beige head; good retention and spare lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, espresso, light smoke, and dark fruit. Flavor heavy roasted malt, light earthy hops, and average dark fruit esters; dry, coffee finish. Medium body, low carbonation and low warmth.

Tap. Pours black with a large, creamy tan head, long retention with good lacing. Aroma is coffee, chocolate and light roast malt, dark esters and light wood character. Flavor is malt dominant, oats, chocolate, wood, faint vanilla and a sweet finish. Medium body and carbonation with low warmth.

Served on-tap at the Selinís Grove brewpub into a pint glass.
A - Pours pitch black with a creamy one finger tall white head, dissipating down to a light film, leaving light rings of lacing down the glass.
S - Smells of lightly roasted chocolate malt, coffee, and a bit of lactic sweetness. Very subtle nose but in a good way.
T - Nice creamy feel with hints of coffee, chocolate, light hop bitterness, and some lactic sweetness. Very good overall balance of flavors blend well with the low ABV. Finish is a touch dry with some lingering dark roast. Excellent stuff.
M - Heavy body and flavor with moderate carbonation. Lush, creamy, feel with plenty of lingering roast in the finish.
O - Very good. I really enjoyed this one. The combination of light roast and low ABV. make this one extremely drinkable and quite enjoyable. You canít go wrong with this one.

On tap at the brewpub. It pours dark brown with a small head. The aroma is cocoa and coffee. The flavor is roasted with some coffee and milk chocolate. A bit sweet and thin for an oatmeal stout. Not bad though, just standard.

Pours nearly black with a dense 1 inch thick head. Didnít get a ton of aroma of this one just faint malted notes. The taste had a fainted roasted quality. The mouth feel was fantastic. The oatmeal smoothed the taste out and made it feel creamy on the tongue. The finish lingers nicely. At 5% would make a great session beer.
