Cask conditioned at brewpub. Pours dark brown/black with foamy khaki head. Big nose of citrus and resiny pine hops. Not much malt in the nose. WOW. Great fruity citrus flavor, not overpowering, slight coffee/roast background blending well with the bitter from the hops. Very Batch XI/Stone 11-esque. Really, wow. This should be a style, I swear. Grea lacing. Smooth taste from the engine. Good beer.

Jul 20, 2008 On cask at the brewpub. A glowing super-fresh hop juice pours out of the glass. Rich, orange sweet and piney. Nice aroma! Pours darker than average. A rich copper-orange tending sienna. A frothy soap in dark khaki rides the glass all the way down. Prickly cask carbonation. Flavor is just as rich as the aroma. A cask-bodied malt marries with cascade-like hops, very spicy, orange and fresh. Delicious! The cask is a good delivery for this example. A very nice IPA.

Jul 20, 2008 On Handpull: aroma is big and piney with citrus spice and some biscuity malt. flavor was all hops, but in a very balanced way, this is a like a way better version of a Dogfish Head IPA. medium bodied. excellent ipa

Jun 1, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. Extremely dark pour for an IPA, could confuse it for a porter. Robust hoppy flavor but not overdone.. Intense and an excellent IPA.

May 30, 2008 On Draft @ the Brewpub. One of the darkest bodied IPAs Ive ever seen. Dark red. Extremely strong hop aroma. The taste is smooth with a bitter, hoppy finish.
