Apr 29, 2009 On tap at the pub. Knockout beer. Absolutely loved it. Smooth and packing a ton of bitter, dry roasty coffee and everything else a stout ought to have in there. Would have taken a growler home if I didn’t have 2 cases of Troegs to break into.

Apr 20, 2009 Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a black color with a medium sized khaki head. The aroma was dry, bitter and roasty with notes of coffee. The flavor was dry, bitter and roasty with notes of coffee. The finish was long and the same. Typical for the style.

Jun 1, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. Poured a near black body. Not really a fan of microbrew stouts, they never feel fully balanced. This didn’t fall into that category but close. Ok stout.

May 23, 2008 Not as good as their oatmeal stout, but decent. Lightly bitter roasted coffee flavor. Not too much complexity. Full bodied and full flavored. Low carbonation. Easily drinkable.

May 14, 2008 On draft @ Brewpub. Pours a brownish black body with some head. Aroma is roasted coffee and something else... cannot remember. Taste is very coffee-esque, but good. Not a big fans of stouts but I thought this was pretty good.

Mar 31, 2008 On draft at the brewpub. Poured dark brownish black with a tan head and good lacing. Aroma of dark chocolate, mild roasted coffee. Taste is of bitter baking chocolate, mild roasted coffee. Olivey bitter, slightly dry finish. Not bad.
