COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A warming golden Belgian style ale, traditionally brewed by monks. Our Triple is made with Belgian candi sugar and a special Belgian yeast strain. We carefully age it to round out this beer's complex characteristics.

2013-08-17. Lightly hazy dark yellow body with a moderate white head and lace. 3+ Aroma is lightly yeasty and alcoholic over sweet pale malt. Whispers of fruit. Flavour of sweet pale malt quickly turns dry, finishes with dry bitter alcohol, mild yeasty undertones. Floral notes as it warms up. 7+ Average plus bodied palate, modest carbonation. On tap at the brewpub.

Draft. Pours gold with a white head. Fruity and yeasty, with peaches and hints of spice. Pretty run-of-the-mill, but enjoyable nonetheless.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a mostly clear gold with a thin white head. Warm musk and sweet yeast. Smoked maple ham notes. Medium bodied. Sweet and estery, soft sweet candy, funky esters and yeast. Interesting.

Hazy golden body, relatively thin white head, no lacing. Classic Belgian yeast, light lemon zest, pepper and residual sweetness. Medium bodied, a bit rough at times, assertive carbonation, residual sweetness leaves the finish a bit long.

Draft at Selin’s Grove. Opaque yellow, small head. Nose and flavor bring bread, hints of clove and cinnamon, sweet peach, candied sugars, and notes of marzipan as well. Clean on the body for an 8-9% beer. True to the style, but not overwhelming.

Served on-tap at the brewpub. A - Pours hazy golden yellow with a small film of white head, dissipating down to a light film, leaving no lace at all down the glass. S - Smells of candied sugar, fruity belgian yeast, citric fruit, light spice and some green apples. There is quite a bit of alcohol burn on the nose once it warms up. T - Starts off with a ton of sugary sweetness slowly giving way to hints of citric fruit, green apples, belgian yeast and some dulled spice. Quite a bit of alcohol comes through as it warms up. Finish is pretty sweet, lingering for some time after consumption. M - Medium body and flavor with moderate carbonation. Sweet, soft feel with quite a bit of residual sweetness clinging to the pallet long after consumption. O - I have had this one quite a few times before and it was much better than this score would indicate. I will have to revisit this one in the future and give it another chance.

On draft at the Pub: Translucent and golden with minimal head. Flavor was fruity pineapple and cinnamin and some yeasty spices. A really nicely smooth dessert with the the chocolate stout ice cream.

Bursting with fruit and spices, light bitterness on finish. Heavier wheat notes then your typical Belgian triple, matt, you would like this and damn it for being a triple.
