While waiting for the beer to fill I was reminded of how excellent the atmosphere at the brewpub is. Upon arriving back home, we opened the growler and poured a few glasses. It poured practically no head and the aroma was filled with some sort of fruit and slight hops. The flavor was actually smooth, with defining characteristics of tangerines and perhaps other fruits. Very nice and drinkable, the 8.5% acl content was not noticable in the taste, but we felt it later on. jehoey (766), Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 23, 2006 first beer I ordered that night at brewpub: Fruit and yeast make there presence known in the aroma. I bit of citrus and a bit of banana. the beer was a deep gold with a cloud of yeast. The first sip was full of citus and banana taste with a lovely yesty sourness, and a little bit of a sweet touch from the candied sugar. Very good on the palate, coats the mouth. A fine tripel. kramer (2406), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 4, 2006 On tap at brewpub. Pours a cloudy deep gold, with a small very fine bubbled head. Very sweet fruity aroma, with lots of fruity esters. Banana, bubblegum, candi sugar, alcohol, and yeast all make themselves known. Very sweet and yeasty flavor, very robust with lots of candi sugar and a warming alcohol finish. Also a little banana and tangerine notes. Full bodied with a mouthfeel that is just short of syrupy. Extremely fine bubbled carbonation cuts thru the body some. Mouthcoating and lingering finish. A pretty nice Triple, very drinkable.
