Midnight dark. Aroma of dark chocolate, some red fruit, toasty malts. Coffee, espresso, hints of semi-sweet chocolate. Bit bitter, and the taste really kills your tastebuds. fredandboboflo (1404), East Setauket, New York, USA

Flavor of coffee grindings, roasted malt, quite sweet, some earth, some milky chocolate, but very faint on these last two notes. Light bodied and a touch astringent. Ok. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 27, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. Pours black with a rapidly fading head. Aroma of chalky roasted malt and a hint of chocolate. Flavor of raisins and weak sweet roasted malt. Not bad flavored, but weak-bodied. If improved, this could definitely be a really good porter. hopdog (5555), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

Upfront not much direct flavor but it comes on heavy towards the finish. Toasted grains, molasses, and perhaps some liquorice notes. jredmond (1029), New Jersey, USA

Pours black with small head (in comparison to the Snake stout atleast). I’ve mentioned numerous times in the past that I am not a big porter fan - but I could definitely get down to this. Hands down best porter I’ve had. The roasted aroma and taste are very good.
