Midnight dark. Aroma of dark chocolate, some red fruit, toasty malts. Coffee, espresso, hints of semi-sweet chocolate. Bit bitter, and the taste really kills your tastebuds.

Oct 31, 2008 Tap. Aroma of chocolate and roasted malt, touch of prune. Flavor of coffee grindings, roasted malt, quite sweet, some earth, some milky chocolate, but very faint on these last two notes. Light bodied and a touch astringent. Ok.

Oct 27, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. Pours black with a rapidly fading head. Aroma of chalky roasted malt and a hint of chocolate. Flavor of raisins and weak sweet roasted malt. Not bad flavored, but weak-bodied. If improved, this could definitely be a really good porter.

Oct 26, 2008 On tap at the Selins Grove Brew Pub. Poured a deeper brown with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of chocolate, roast, and some caramel. Tastes of roast, chocolate, light coffee, and grainy.

Jun 1, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. An awesome porter. Upfront not much direct flavor but it comes on heavy towards the finish. Toasted grains, molasses, and perhaps some liquorice notes.

May 14, 2008 Updated: May 30, 2008On Draft @ the brewpub. Pours black with small head (in comparison to the Snake stout atleast). I’ve mentioned numerous times in the past that I am not a big porter fan - but I could definitely get down to this. Hands down best porter I’ve had. The roasted aroma and taste are very good.
