kmweaver (2396), Sebastopol, California, USA Nov 23, 2007 Draft, Selin’s Grove Brewing Co. Pours a dark, reddish-brown color; thin, off-white head. Some milk chocolate and light roastiness in the aroma. Medium mouthfeel: chewy milk chocolate and toasted grains; well-integrated; good density and solid chocolate core. A bit less giving than the oatmeal stout. Medium, chocolate and toasted malts in the finish. wcampbell (572), Central, South Carolina, USA Oct 29, 2007 A great porter. The taste went very well with a meal. Strong roasted malt flavor that finishes smooth and slightly sweet. Medium thickness, but full flavored. Miver (551), WillowStreet, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 17, 2007 On draft at brewpub a couple of times. Poured dark brown, medium carbonation. Solid hints of chocolate, coffee and roasted malts. A very solid Porter with a nice smooth, creamy taste. Good body. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 07/25/2007

Dark brown colored body with some amber-brown hues at the bottom of the glass. Light-to-moderate roast presence in nose and flavor, with some molasses and maple scents, sweet smelling overall. Toasted grains tasted, along with some sharp hoppy notes, and some dry wood flavors in the finish, but not as much roast as in the nose. Has the faintest bit of vanilla as well. A nice porter but nothing exceptional, and in fact there’s some lactic acidity that lingers in the finish that I don’t like so much. melvin980 (184), Pennsylvania, USA May 9, 2007 Nice smoothe porter. Had a nice brew-pub flavor to it. Had it outta a growleeeerrrrr. Sammy (3934), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 6, 2007 Decent conventional porter on tap at the brewpub. Roast and molasses aroma. Creamy with lots of lace on dark brown, abundant head. Molasses is the taste, medium mouthfeel. Nate (2533), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 15, 2007 On tap at the brewery. Dusty earthy malt, dry roasted grains and bitter coffee grounds. Light hoppiness with licorice and tobacco, raisin. Dark brown reddish clear with off-white lacing head. Medium heavy body with light carbonation. Starts sweet with malty grains, raisins, coffee and licorice. Bitter chocolate. Mild bitterness and coffee grounds. Toasted or slightly burnt grains. Neutral fruit finish. Tongue-coating sweetness with light coffee bitter after.
