Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Aug 2, 2006 From growler. Deep garnet red with an off white head. Roasty coffee with cream nose - really! Chocolatey flavor, malty, very light hop. Very good! gputty (456), Virgina Beach, Virginia, USA Jul 25, 2006 Tasting at Immy’s. From Growler. Brown pour with coffee head. Nose is a little sour, with a sweet roasted malt. Flavor follows, sweet, roasty and a touch of bitter at the end. TheBeerGod (3143), Newport News, Virginia, USA Jul 23, 2006 Growler at Immy’s Tasting on 7-22-06. This was unopened at RBSG so it was brought home and tossed in the fridge. Pretty sure kramer17801 bought this - thanks Jason! This held up well, as Kinz noted. Dark brown. Small tan head. Nose is roasty, chocolaty, and milk-laden coffee. Taste is chocolaty, roasted malts, grainy in spots, and light hops. Body is creamy with a mild carbonation feel. Finishes with more coffee and roasted malts but has a bit more bitterness during the finish. Kinz (2179), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA Jul 22, 2006 From Immy’s Tasting. Growler from RBSG, stunned at how nicely this held up, no degredation whatsoever. Ultra dark brown, good head. Light chocolate aroma. Flavor was the same. Quite balanced overall. Not complex, but definitely good. maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jul 22, 2006 From Immy’s Tasting. Clear dark brown color with a thin light brown head. Aroma of chocolate and roasted malt. Thin roasted malt flavor. Trooper11 (464), Suffolk, Virginia, USA Jul 22, 2006 Umm good. Very dark with small head. Smooth bitter flavor, very light bodied. Another favorite from Immy’s Tasting. jehoey (766), Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 12, 2006 The Best Poter that I have drunk to date. The appearence is black, the flavor is write on full of nice bitterness, the beer feels wonderful in the mouth. If your in Selinsgrove and this beer is on tap it is a must tiggmtl (4307), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Dec 21, 2005 Surprisingly hoppy, herbal, grassy, vegetal aroma with plenty of chocolate, soy and roasty character as well. Dark brown body with a low tan head that recedes to ring. Chocolate subtone to the intensely roasty flavour with some light fruitiness emerging after the strong bitter finish in the aftertaste. Medium light body is quite dry with lively carbonation that is softly engaging on the tongue. Sampled on the PA trip 2005.
