4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
I agree with kramer17801, this was an absolute beauty of a beer. aroma was slightly sour with lots of esters and carmel malt. dark brown in color with a quarter inch of creamy, head that unfortunatly dissapaited quickly. flavor was stupendous pretty much a cross between a flemish sour and a dubbel. genious to mix the 3 year old dubbel with this years batch. From reading the website the have done that in the recipe from last years, so it really is a different beer. bloody delicious. nice palate with soft carbination. stands up to any dubbel, I think it tops Westmalle.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at brewpub. Poured a cloudy light brown with a firm 1cm high light brown creamy head. Sweet caramel nose, with yeast, alcohol, and banana bread. Sweet and malty flavor, yeasty and lightly alcoholic on the finish with lots of bananas. Full bodied slightly sticky mouthfeel with very soft carbonation. A very nice dubble, stands up to many of the classics. Nicely warming but alcohol very well hidden in the flavor. Not sure about the other ratings on this beer, but because they are such a small brewery their batches are pretty small, it may be possible they tweak the recipie often? Mine was very good.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Red-maroon hue with a white, creamy (they’re all the same!!!) head. Surprising amount of caramel in the aroma. Musty, candi sugar, dates, grapes. Moderately sweet, moderately acidic flavor becomes a moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter finish. Medium-full body, creamy texture, lively carbonation. The bottom line is: un-dubbel-like in the aroma...distinctive fruits and some chocolate come through in the flavor.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Rough and very appley, warm orange-red with good mouthfeel. Fruity, berry-floral finish. Raisins in the nose. Not a whole lot going on here. Pleasant but unremarkable.
