COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hops and grains from the great Northwest, Belgian yeast and Idaho’s best water combine to make this smooth, dry Pale Ale. Excellent with a meal or simply on its own this delicious, crisp little crowd pleaser is a house favorite.

Bottle. Pours a very slightly hazy light copper color with a very thick off-white head that I had to manage with a soft pour. Nose is definitely Belgian - I can get some banana, clove, and a little light citrus in there. Taste is pretty light, with a hint of citrus and some sweetness on the finish. Feels remarkably light on the palate, and almost creamy. I actually quite like it.

22 picked up today at Bier Thirty in Bown Crossing... Paid $7... Seems a little expensive for what it is. Pours a crystal clear orange with a decent enough white 1 finger head... spotty lacing. Clove and light peppercorn combine with pale malt and fruity pear/apple essence... perhaps some banana esters too. Flavor is a bit more yeasty than any Continental BPA’s I’ve had in a while... not necessarily a bad thing.. but plenty of fruitiness and phenolic presence for such a low ABV brew.. The banana really comes up with warmth... The yeasty fruitiness really lays long on the finish making it seem much sweeter than it is. Across the board (IMO), the yeasty notes dominate too heavily... The malts are buried and hops are seemingly nonexistent. Good/expected carbonation and body for the style. Despite my above negatives, this is still a pretty good beer... I just feel it can be done better... Lesser yeasty presence and an overall drier character would produce a winner.

Draft at SA. Pours clear amber, minimal head. Aroma: sweet saisony. Light fruity Belgian-yeasty notes. Moderately sweet, with moderate bitter finish. Some citrus. Slick texture, medium body. Overall: okay. Doesn't really have as much character as the others I've sampled so far. Some apple cider notes as well. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Appearance: Golden with fluffy white head. Visible carbonation and excellent lacing. Aroma: Soft Belgian spice and noble hops with mild malt sweetness beneath. Taste: Like the aroma, a Belgian spice followed by noble hop. Very balanced Palate/Mouthfeel: Very dry and clean with just the right amount of carbonation. Overall: A Clean refreshing beer. Very sessionable

GABF 2012, October 12, Friday. Like a light saison. Lots of yeast. A little sweet, but the palate is too light and there is a lack of complexity to this one-dimensional beer.

On tap at GABF 2012. Pours a cloudy orange/yellow color with a medium white head. A sweet nose of banana and almost seems like light Brett. The flavor is a smooth spicy Belgian ale, very well made, sweet candies, banana. Good.

Medium gold color with a white head and lots of lacing. It has a somewhat faint yeast and malt aroma, and the flavor is the same with a slightly crisp finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
